2024 SSU Research, Scholarship & Creativity Symposium

The 2024 SSU Research, Scholarship & Creativity Symposium is a two-day, in-person event featuring the outstanding research accomplishments of faculty and students across all disciplines!

This is a great opportunity to showcase your research, talents, and creative activity to the campus and surrounding community. The events will take place in the Student Center’s Ballrooms (Third Floor), as follows:

  • Undergraduate Students – Monday, April 29, 2024 (3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.)
  • Faculty and Graduate Students – Tuesday, April 30, 2024 (3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.)

If you would like to present your work please register by April 15, 2024.

You will need to provide a brief abstract of your project at the time of registration, but work does not have to be completed to register.

Although most of the displays will be in poster presentation format, we will be able to accommodate other types of presentations to better represent creative activities (i.e. music, film, photography, art, dance, creative writing etc.), and we will be accepting five-minute “Lightning Talks” presentations. For Lightning Talks, please send an email of your final project’s PowerPoint presentation to orsp@sonoma.edu by April 23, 2024.

If you have any general questions, please contact Arcelia Sandoval at (707) 664-2066 or arcelia.sandoval@sonoma.edu.

The Office of Research & Sponsored Programs (ORSP) and the School of Science and Technology will be providing on campus complementary poster printing to symposia registrants.

Participants wishing to print with ORSP please email your completed poster saved as a PDF to orsp@sonoma.edu by Thursday, April 25, 2024.

There is no deadline for printing at the School of Science and Technology lab self-serve option in Darwin Hall. Please contact Cory Oates at cory.oates@sonoma.edu for questions on the process for printing at their area.
