Funding Opportunities

The Office of Research & Sponsored Programs (ORSP) provides support to Sonoma State University (SSU) students, faculty, and administrators in their endeavours to find funding opportunities both on and off campus to support their research, scholarship, and creative activities. We can assist with identifying sponsors, proposal development, understanding SSU and sponsor guidance, and routing proposals through the campus edorsement process for institutional approval prior to submission. Please note that if you are interested in funding in the form of a gift to SSU, you will need to work with the Advancement office.

Proposal Development

All proposals for external or CSU funding must be reviewed, and in most instances submitted, by the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs (ORSP). If you have identified a funding opportunity and would like to submit a proposal to the sponsoring organization, please submit the ORSP Proposal Intake Form (PIF). When ORSP receives your PIF, our Pre-Award office will work with you to prepare and review required components, route for institutional approvals, and submit the proposal.
