To maintain the innovative, rural, distance graduate Family Nurse Practitioner Program (FNP) at Sonoma State University (SSU). The Master of Science degree and the Post-Master's degree FNP Program utilizes faculty to help coordinate distance sites and provide experiences in under-served areas in North-Central California and in the Central Valley. The SSU FNP Rural Distance Program has evolved by disseminating the curriculum to registered nurses all over Northern California through innovative resource sharing and with the use of distance education technology delivery modalities that permit working rural and frontier nurses to complete advanced education.
