Implementation of the SB 343 Research Project

PI: Robert Eyler
School or Division: School of Business & Economics
Sponsor: California Department of Child Support Services
Calendar Start & End Date: -
Funding Amount: $99,985

The project is meant to provide an economic model that provides an estimate of what earnings capacity individuals have based on their current or most recent job, the evolution of worker gains in each of the 58 counties, and the wage forecast looking toward 2030. The core outcome of this project is to provide an algorithm that connects the local labor market in California’s counties and regions to determine how someone that needs to pay child support may be able to pay it in the current market and also looking forward over the next five years. A report is to be prepared for a description of the above.
