The aim of this project is to pilot a restorative practices intervention for teachers and families. It will focus on training and mentoring transitional kindergarten/kindergarten classroom teachers and families at University at La Fiesta in Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District (CRPUSD) in restorative practices. Through training and mentorship, this pilot project will cultivate the skills of transitional kindergarten/kindergarten teachers and their families to be effective partners in developing a restorative school community characterized by positive relationships, inclusive decision-making, sense of community, belonging, equity of voice, value for all members, and authentic listening and sharing.
