Mr. Tadokoro's research analyzes water use policies in cities to see if they are correlated to water patterns. The primary metric of interest is the GPCD, or Gallons per Capita Daily. This measure, published by the Pacific Institute, gathers residential and systemwide water use data. I will be comparing a range of environmental, zoning, and other land use policies in cities to the water they use. My goal is to isolate a few metrics and say with confidence a city's water use is or is not correlated to its systemic policies.
