Abstract:
In this presentation we focus on how chicana and latina women had pushed through many obstacles to overcome diversity and find ways in which they could prosper and become the women they were meant to be. In this we focused on three major aspects which are education, work, and music which allowed for their voices to be heard on a bigger spectrum. this being said we reviewed on how women used education to their advantage as to not just a be another statistic , and in workforce they way they wanted to break the barrier of only working for a lesser minimum wage while doing the same task as men, and in music how women singer where finally making their voices heard whether it be in how they were being treated or ways in which they played themselves. We wanted to focus on how chicana women wanted to create a stronger unification in society and the resilience to overcome the barrier that would disallow them from becoming the women they were meant to be.
