Abstract:
For this project I decided to dive deeper into how the women's rights movement and women's rights in the workplace are connected in the 1980's. Many women stood up for their rights to have good jobs and be able to do the jobs that men could do. There was a big stigma that women should not be working and that they could only do secretarial jobs or be stay at home moms, but that all changed when women started to stand up for their rights. Many protests were held during the '80s and I will be bringing forth a few that really stood out to me and that I believe others should know about.
