Abstract:
This project takes a dive into the detrimental effects of the War on Drugs that was expanded in the 1980's. The War on Drugs started back during the Nixon era and since it's beginings had hidden purposes that were meant to weaken "threatening" groups in America. During the 1980's the hidden purposes of the War on Drugs, which unfailry targeted African American communities, could be seen more clearly. In this porject I disscuss how the policies relating to the War on Drugs during the 1980's were racially bias and the long lasting impact they have had, that we can still see today, on the African American community.
