Abstract:
The war on drugs impacted the black community extremely. One of the reasons as to why was because of the Reagan administration and the discriminatory of drug laws. The Reagan administration did not value black lives and partially wanted to destroy black communities. To add on, considering crack cocaine was cheaper, it was easier to get a hold of. There are some communities even today that are deeply affected from the destroyed black communities of the drug addiction there is. It is interesting to see how it all unrolled and what type of impact it has had negatively. It is also good to be self aware of where things first began.
