Abstract:
For my cognate, I have decided to focus on how teachers can better support high school students who identify as homeless. On a physical poster, I have created a QR that leads to a website where both teachers and students will find resources on how they can support students. This website includes free food support, emergency housing, mental health services, free medical care, free job readiness, bus pass access, and free gym memberships all located in Sonoma County. My goal is to make sure that every student feels supported as well as having teachers provide this information in their classrooms by hanging up this poster with the QR code.
