Abstract:
This presentation utilizes Critical Race Studies (CRS) as a platform for examining inequity in population health with regards to death rates due to COVID in the United States. The author will provide (1) brief overview of CRS as relevant to population health; (2) commentary of how COVID rates of mortality among population of color were predictable and preventable; and (3) propose ways CRS can be used in prevent inequities in health status.
