Remix song and music video

The idea of my project came to my head when my teacher mentioned we needed to create something that was related to the 80s. I love music so I figured why not try to create something that I had never done before and learn a lot of new things. The idea of creating a remix along with a music video seemed so fun to me, I could create something new and creative on my own. I wanted to create a mix of a popular upbeat song that lots of people have heard of (Roxanne) and remix it with a classic 80s beat. I wanted to also create a music video with this so I created a collage of gifs of the 80s aesthetic. I found a lot of gifs I thought represented the 80s and some images that tie it to the modern-day. I definitely went for a certain aesthetic for my music video, I wanted it to be visually pleasing. This project shows the fun and colorfulness of the 80s along with the great beats that came along with it. I saw a lot of modern remixes with 80s beats on youtube with an aesthetic background so I got some inspiration from youtube. I edited the song and the beat into garage band creating my remix then I extracted the audio file and put it in iMovie where I created my music video via a collage of gifs. This project was a lot of fun to make and I learned a lot of things about creating remixes and music videos. Hope you enjoy it!
