Abstract:
The purpose of this project was to create a Poem using different word and sentences "borrowed" from many different rock album reviews from Rolling Stone Magazine done in the 1970s at first my plan had been for the poem to be critique of the reviewers critique but as I continued to research the poem to shape as more expressing the feeling of the many reviews of the inevitable commercialization of rock in the 1970's and how many foresaw the decade to be the death of rock or atleast a form of rock that was stripped of its meaning and roots. I try to show in the Poem that the reviewers feel this away about the fututre of rock due the its main ideals such rebellion and spontaneity being commercialized.
