Abstract:
I wanted to take Professor Jennifer Shaw’s lecture “Feminist Art and the Black Art Movement” and relate it to a character in Ursula K. Le Guin’s novel The Lathe of Heaven. I put together a collection of poetry/journal entries done from the perspective of Heather Lelache, a feisty and strong-willed biracial female lawyer. I pretended to be Heather Lelache and created a piece of art representing her thoughts and feelings of the goings-on over the course of the novel.
