Abstract:
My book, A Teacher's Guide to Progress Monitoring, was published by Brookes Publishing Co. in August 2020. I wrote the book to support pre-service and in-service special education teachers in how to collect and use informal assessment data to design instruction for children with disabilities. The book includes 5 case studies of progress monitoring for students with disabilities to illustrate the methods described that were contributed by special educators who were enrolled in the MA program in Education at SSU. As part of the marketing of my book, I conducted two webinars that delved into aspects of the concepts presented.
The first was about how to help children who were unable to go to school due to the pandemic develop self-determination.

The second webinar addressed the use of task analysis as a means to evaluate and inform instructional strategies.
