Abstract:
The purpose of this analysis is to assess if the percentage of unemployed adults in the United States could be predicted by using the monthly average high stock prices of various companies specializing in technology, alcohol, and two of the major indices (S&P 500, NASDAQ).  This dataset is a compilation of data collected from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Yahoo Finance, and Investopedia.com.  The data was statistically analyzed  using techniqes of multiple regression.
