Abstract:
I am a communications and media studies major and am currently taking a digital media design and content delivery class. For this class I had to create a digital property. I decided to create a music blog due to my love for music and reading lots of music reviews on albums and songs and always loving what they write. I decided that my blog would work perfectly since I would be able to write blog posts on 1980s music. My first blog post is about MTV and how its creation changed the industry as well as the music video industry and ended up helping songs become more successful. Also, I talk about new genres that came out during the ‘80s and new recording techniques. The second blog post is about 1980s hits and where they were recorded. In that post you will see a map including the names of the studios, where they are located and singles cover. Billboard and Rolling Stone helped with finding the biggest hits of the ‘80s on the charts and reading more about them. Music blogs helped me want to create this concept of having a music blog. I decided that I am going to create two blog posts covering topics about the 1980s music industry and the biggest hits of the ‘80s.
