Abstract:
This research project has lead me to read three books and countless videos and articles. Ancient Yaqui/Yoeme deer dance is never performed by women. As a choreographer, I create a modernist version of this Yoeme tradition. Still wearing symbolistic regalia in a new, minimalist approach. I wear a red cloth from a MMIWg2s ceremony and abolone shells from California.

I wish to continue to share stories on tv and motion pictures.
