Abstract:
Using the fireball model I will calculate the luminosity, radius, and temperature over time as well as ejecta velocity of type 1a and type 2 supernovae. This is done by compiling data from the Open Supernova Catalog and using code I wrote to sort the data and perform the calculations. Once these parameters are calculated they are plotted and the ejecta velocities are put into a histogram where the average and standard deviation are calculated.
