Abstract:
Michael Jackson is often known as the "King of Pop" but it didn’t start off that way. At the tender age of five, the notably shy kid became the lead singer in his family band, The Jackson 5. While the group had much success throughout the 1960s-1970s, much changed when Michael began his solo career. Throughout the presentation, I give an overview of his significant impact and success throughout the 1980s. His stardom had grown from the releases of iconic albums like Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad. Over the course of the years, Michael Jackson is credited for his influence in dance, hair trends, vocals, and of course his impeccable dance moves. He received an enormous amount of rewards and still holds many notable records. Many today still are inspired by almost every aspect of him from entertainers to other inspired dancers.
