Abstract:
In collaboration with Canadian digital mapmaker Victor Temprano, creator of Native Land, I added this year tribally approved stories and resources related to the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria and the Pawnee to a digital mapping project (MIAC-LH) funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities.  The Google Earth map with languages, nations, resources, and focus stories is under construction, and is intended to be used by K-college classes as an introduction to tribal areas.  I am presently collaborating with the Board of Directors of the Association of Tribal Archives, Libraries and Museums (ATALM) to add more content.  This year Sonoma State University enjoyed a visit from the CEO of ATALM, Walter Echo-Hawk, and in this image from the map you can see a video of Mr. Echo-Hawk included in the Pawnee narrative.
