Abstract:
Conducting a literature review under the guidance of Dr. Matthew Callahan to learn more about the topics of gender roles and minority stress for sexual minorities. Every two weeks I would read and takes notes on an article of my choice as well as meet with Dr. Callahan to discuss the findings for each article. The number of articles in this review is eight and are on topics ranging from the precarious nature of masculinity to the effects of minority stress like discrimination on sexually minority men. This review has been conducted to narrow down my own personal interests as well as to gain a grasp of the literature out there which will allow me to create a research question as well as a hypothesis for this upcoming year.
