Lighting Up the Future Green

May 2020

Pencil on Paper

Earth Day is the annual event that is celebrated around the world on April 22 to show support for environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970, and it continues to grow as a worldwide phenomenon focused on promoting clean living and a healthy, sustainable habitat for people and wildlife. We celebrate Earth Day to remind everyone of how fragile our planet is and how important it is to protect it.

Climate change is our biggest problem right now, and that is why I want to spread awareness. Educating people on this subject is the number one solution to this problem, and that is what I am trying to do with my art. Thank you for your interest in gaining knowledge on this important subject. The lightbulb is coming out of the leaves representing an idea of a brighter and greener, more sustainable future. The sun behind it represents the brightness that the future can hold if we all work together.
