Abstract:
This poem explores the diversity of the contemporary LGBTQ+ community is flavored with cultural experiences, taken from a range of cultures that are accessible through both print and electronic forms from around the globe. The many Latinx leaders in the LGBTQ+ community have given other people the love, support, and endless knowledge and stories, to help others in situations where they might not feel so good about themselves. Luis Frederick, Juanita Ramos, and Gloria Anzaldua have all done their fair and respectable share to use their knowledge to help those in the community with their poems, books, etc. They have shown what the struggles LGBTQ people have faced and what they did to encounter and overcome these fears.
