Abstract:
In my project I take two books, those being "The Lathe of Heaven" by Ursula K. Le Guin and "Carrie" by Stephen King and combined them into a short story. The short story will consist of the main focus of Le Guin's book which is the main Character, George Orr's, reality altering dreams and add in a scene from "Carrie" to be the dream he has. Then he finds out days later that it ended up being true. The scene I chose from King's book was when Carrie is named prom queen and then gets pig blood dumped on her. I made this into a quick read because I wanted to keep the reader interested to see what happens, instead of it being really long and the reader loosing interest.
