Abstract:
This research project has posed as a very interesting assignment because it changed the way I feel about Classic Rock. I’ve listened to classic rock and big hair bands all my life but I never thought about the effect it had on the community when classic rock was boomin in the 80s. The main goal of my project is to take a dive into the lives of these big hair bands and of the lives that their music influenced. I wanted to break it down into different parts. One part being the emotional effect these bands had on normal citizens and another is to look into the horrible facts about how many kids and teenagers smoked back in the day. I also want to look into how it has shaped society even today. I plan on examining how these bands led to the creation of heavy metal and how that had greatly affected the lives of young teenagers. I have also incorporated images of specific bands that definitely affected me and maybe even thousands of other kids. This project will pose as a great informative historical paper to read if the reader is ever intrigued on how these bands have affected many people's way of life.
