Abstract:
This project is a story of two brothers, Brad and Evan, who grow up in a single-parent household with their mother. Brad is a slightly younger brother of Evan who had struggled emotionally with his father leaving and longs to see him again. Because of this, Brad struggles with keeping up with his brother Evan and his mother as he separates away from reality and turns towards television to look for a father-like figure. Evan, on the other hand, practices the traditional values such as prayer and is not as affected from his father’s leaving. Evan is seen to be as a parental figure himself trying to keep Brad in line from joining people who do not agree with the family’s ideology. This short film highlights viewpoints of both brothers during the 1980s in an ongoing conversation that results in a growing rift in beliefs: chaos and order.
