Abstract:
Our project topic pertains to the 1980s by focusing on the bias that was against women in the 1980s such as abortions and unequal pay, job opportunity, expectations of women in society. We take a look into the perspectives of women and the bias they are experiencing against them during the 1980s. We related it to today's feminism and introduced the question whether we could learn much from it and of the 1980s feminism. The Handmaid's Tale was introduced to show that society has the capablity of going to this extreme and taking control over women's bodies. It also shows that structure of power can oppress women's lives.
