Abstract:
This project goes in-depth about the difference between white baseball during the 1920s and the Negro League. This project talks about the importance that the 1920s played in influencing the creation of the first Negro League. Mentions a brief overview of the sanctioning bodies that implemented the "whites-only" in professional baseball. As well as the social tension between the two groups and how it affected both baseball leagues. This project also compares the wage difference between the two leagues and how white players were treated as opposed to African American players. Finally, this project talks about the everlasting impact that these African American baseball players made as they challenged the white major leagues.
