Abstract:
This presentation discusses certain films that were made in the 1980's about Chicano/Latinos. Movies like Zoot Suit and La Bamba are two examples of the movies that are talked about within the presentation. The impact left by all the movies included were huge and paved the way for more films about Chicano/Latino culture. They may not have gotten the best start, but eventually they grew into a phenomenon that should be honored among some of Hollywood's greatest films. And they made a large impact on Chicano communities as well.
