Abstract:
For our research project we analyzed how food contributed in shaping history, specifically in the 1970’s. The growth of convenience food rose, the boom of pre-packaged food due to the introduction of microwave ovens that were made commercially available, diets in the 1970’s began to shift toward increased reliance upon processed foods, increased away from home intake and greater use of edible oils and sugar-sweetened beverages.
