Abstract:
My project is about Madonna's Fashion from the film "Desperately seeking Susan" filmed in 1985. I started off my research project thinking I was going to talk about her music and how she was a big influence in pop music culture. As I was doing research I kept running into sources talking about how Madonna was a huge fashion influence in the 80's. I chose the film "Desperately seeking susan" because it really captures Madonnas own personal style in the 80's. The films costume designer Santo Loquasto said that he was inspired by Madonnas own personal style. This is why Madonna was chosen for the film with no little experience because she fit the role so well and would actually wear smiliar outfits from the film in real life. Madonnas fashion from the 80's is coming back with her new line called "Material girl" from macys which is inspired by Madonnas style in the 80's. The fashion legend from the 80's lives on to this day!!
