Abstract:
“Latino” a word used very frequently and for the most part people associate it more with that of people in Mexico, when you ask around and see what pops into their head first. The word is just to loop various cultures and put them under that umbrella term because they come from Latin America. As you can see there are many problems with just using that term because there are various cultures that are not being shown or expressed. There are differences that need to be seen so that cultures can have their own spotlight in a sense. We will discuss music, movies/art, and clothing, from different Latin American countries. Our focus countries are Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil. Our plan is to look at these themes from each country, in the 1970s. We will explore the specifics of how these themes make up the different aspects of the countries.
