Abstract:
The duality between creativity and logic has been ingrained in society for a long time. You’re either a doctor or an artist. But why not be both? I’ve drawn inspiration from a lot of places in my life, whether it would be learning the scientific approach through university or the creative approach such as watching legends like Eddie Van Halen play Eruption. The objective of this project is to simply blend these two worlds together and explore both the creative and logistical aspects that come to play when it comes to playing the guitar. This project explores three guitar solos/riffs from the 80s, Panama by Van Halen, Who’s Crying Now by Journey, and Beat it by Michael Jackson.
