Abstract:
Conformal field theory (CFT) is a mathematical tool used to solve problems in systems with scale invariant symmetries. The subject has a deficit of undergraduate level resources, a gap which this project aims to fill. To understand CFT, we explore what physicists mean by fields. We then look at the four symmetries that a conformal field must obey.
