Abstract:
This study is to understand attitudes toward and experiences of dating and relationships, marriage, and gender ideology among adults aged 20 to 49. To this end, we conducted an online survey in mid-March 2023. This study identifies differences in attitudes toward and experiences with dating and relationships by gender, race, and education. Moreover, this study explores the perceived (in)compatibility between marriage and other markers of adulthood (i.e., career or education) by looking at the relationship between gender ideology and attitudes toward marriage.
