The representation of African Americans in media including, speech, writing, still or moving pictures has been a concern in mainstream American culture and a big component of media. Bias in the U.S. Racial insensitivities ran pervasive during the 1980s.As the civil Rights movement went underway, it was clear that African Americans were not being represented clearly on television.the media influences attitudes people have toward African Americans. The media has reinforced racism by promoting racial stereotypes and is a reflection left on society from historical traumas. It has been made clear that for years the media has been criticized for their representations of African Americans on television.
