Abstract:
The main idea of the powerpoint is how African-Americans influenced music in the 1980s. In the 1980s music was a big factor in the lives of many people including African-Americans. The '80s was a time in which African-Americans were not given the same resources as other Americans. This was also a great time for African-Americans that were in the music industry, as it was the first time a Black Artist’s music video was shown on a network, MTV. Many rappers were becoming well known during the 1980s one of them being the group N.W.A, the group is seen as controversial due to the fact they made songs about injustices that African Americans had in the 80s as well as the dangerous life of gangsters.
