Abstract:
My presentation shows how african american films in the 1980s changed and effected how films are made today. In the 1970s there was blacplation where in the 1980s that changed because new directors started making movies where black people the "good guys". Spike Lee and Eddie Murphy also changed how black people were represented in movies. Also the movie "the Color Purple" did that too were you saw another point of view. African American films in the 1980s changed the way the black community was represented.
