The primary objective of this study is to investigate young adults’ attitudes and perceptions regarding dating and romantic relationships, family formation, and fertility aspirations in South Korea in a time of significant social and demographic transformation. Using a mixed-methods approach, this research integrates qualitative in-depth interviews into insights from existing quantitative survey data to uncover how young people experience evolving norms around intimacy, gender, and family, and how these experiences shape their intentions or reluctance toward marriage and parenthood.
