The Anthropological Studies Center (ASC) will conduct archaeological monitoring during ground disturbing activities implemented as part of the John Muir National Historic Site Irrigation Renewal Project. Elements of the project will include review of existing data, monitoring of field activities that involve excavation, redirect work if significant features are observed, and document any minor cultural or archaeological resources that may be uncovered. Daily logs, and draft and final monitoring reports documenting the findings, will be developed upon conclusion of the project.
