The purpose of this funding is two-fold: First, to further support the Cinematic Arts & Technology BA degree program. Specific areas include technology improvements to the Media Innovation Lab (including upgrading production studio capabilities for live streaming and expanding our field production equipment), and continuing our film industry guest speaker series. The goal of our Cinematic Arts program is to give our students the potential to learn a wide variety of skill sets they can take into the job market. Secondly, we continue to expand our scholarship program to occasionally include students in the visual or performing arts. This year we have two new students (one in Cinematic Arts and one in Music), bringing our total number of scholarship recipients to eight. The sponsor for this award is the KHR McNeely Family Foundation.
