Sponsor: Association of College & Research Libraries
Calendar Start & End Date: -
Funding Amount: $3,000

This project, funded by the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) as part of the Academic Library Impact Research Grant Program, aims to investigate whether perceptions among disciplinary faculty regarding library use and value may shift after they engage with the ACRL Information Literacy (IL) Framework, a guiding document adopted by the library profession in 2016. The project will begin with a preliminary survey of current practices, preferences and awareness of library services among faculty in the School of Education. Selected faculty will be introduced to the IL Framework and invited to participate in focus groups and follow-up interviews, soliciting authentic responses to determine whether connections are made between pedagogical approaches and threshold concepts across the disciplines, leading to a potential changes in library use and perceived value.Coming soon!
