The Anthropological Studies Center (ASC) will provide professional and technical cultural resources work for Caltrans, which will support the development and construction of the State transportation system in the following counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma. The services provided by ASC will assist Caltrans in complying with Federal and State environmental laws, cultural resource laws, stewardship of state-owned historic resources, cultural resources inventory of state right-of-way, and project-specific archaeological and cultural studies necessary for the delivery of State transportation projects.
