Green Music Center Family Day 2023 & 2024

This award is to support the Green Music Center's Family Day activities in spring 2023 and 2024. These activities, which are curated for TK-6th grade students and their families, will feature performances by Somos Amigos (Sonia De Los Santos and The Okee Dokee Brothers) in 2023 and Las Cafeteras in 2024. Each year's performance will be followed by a variety of interactive performing and visual arts activities for children, offered in English and Spanish, that will be led by local teaching artists and SSU graduate students in education. Support from this grant will enable the GMC to offer these events for free to our communities, removing financial barriers that might otherwise prohibit economically disadvantaged families from participating.
